SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 20 December 2011 – Following its legacy of quality-certified electronics manufacturing and design, Eurotech Subsidiary Parvus Corporation announced today its successful certification to AS9100 Rev C. Encompassing all ISO 9001:2008 quality management requirements, AS9100 Rev C specifies additional requirements for aviation, space, and defense organizations. Parvus first earned its AS9100 Rev B Certification in December 2010 and elected to upgrade to Rev C to meet the industry’s newest and highest standards of quality. The new Accredited ISO registrar Eagle Registrations Inc. assessed Parvus and found it in full compliance with this globally recognized quality standard.

The quality management standard for the aerospace industry, AS9100 is designed to meet stringent, complex and unique demands of the defense and commercial aerospace industry. Additional requirements were added to the AS9100 Rev C standard to emphasize the importance of supplier selection, project management, risk management, configuration management and ensure better control of work transfers and critical items. Regular audits are conducted by an independent certification body to ensure that Parvus products are designed and manufactured using sound, repeatable processes and that customer satisfaction remain a primary concern.

“Parvus’ certification to AS9100 Rev C validates our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction,” said Bryce McMillan, Quality Assurance Manager for Parvus. “Our rugged products are found in every branch of the military and in a growing number of national defense applications. By achieving or exceeding the tighter customer satisfaction requirements in AS9100 Rev C allows Parvus to offer an added level of quality assurance to our customers, and further solidify our reputation as a trusted and proven provider of highly reliable and rugged products.”

Parvus’ culture of ongoing quality assurance formally started in 1993 when it became the first company headquartered in Utah to meet the rigorous demands of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) quality management certification. Parvus was initially certified to the ISO 9001:1987 standards, then subsequently ISO 9001:1994 and ISO 9001:2000 standards. Last year, Parvus was certified to the ISO 9001:2008 standard – the latest international quality management standard and framework focused on enhancing customer satisfaction and continually improving business performance.
