New 1-Watt High Brightness LEDs Features Low-Profile Design, Low Thermal Resistance, and Superior Moisture Sensitivity for Easy Installation

Mansfield, Texas, USA – October 23, 2007 – Mouser Electronics, Inc., known for its rapid introduction of the newest products, today announced it is now stocking Avago Technologies Moonstone warm white power LEDs for solid-state lighting applications. Avago Technologies is a leading supplier of analog interface components for communications, industrial, and consumer applications.

Available in one of the industrys thinnest packages, the ASMT-MY00 LED provides designers of solid-state lighting applications with a competitively robust and reliable package that provides high brightness illumination and easy installation. Available in blue, green, and cool white, the LEDs are ideal for applications that require ultra-high brightness LEDs, such as decorative lights, garden lights, task and reading lights, as well as architectural, accent, and marker lights.

The high-brightness LED package, which features a smooth radiation pattern and 110˚ viewing angle, is a high-performance energy efficient device developed to withstand high operating temperatures and driving currents. With an exposed pad design, this 1-Watt warm white power LED provides excellent heat transfer from the package to the motherboard, enabling a current of 350mA and delivers up to 56 lumens, providing superior lumens-to-watt efficiency.

The LED can easily be soldered using conventional SMT techniques to minimize product costs and the package is qualified to a JEDEC moisture sensitivity level rating of 2A. This rating ensures the LED can be kept in the open air up to four weeks after being removed from the sealed package without the need to remove absorbed moisture.
