The PXI Systems Alliance (PXISA) welcomes Agilent as its latest member. The PXISA maintains and promotes the PXI standard, which was introduced 10 years ago to help solve applications that require lower cost, smaller size, and higher performance. PXI has continued to innovate and grow with additions like PXI Express while maintaining backwards compatibility. Agilent, as a technology leader, has now added its support for the PXI standard to better address the wide range of test requirements from its customer base.
“Agilent’s interest in the PXI Systems Alliance is to support the customers of the Acqiris and PXIT acquisitions (both completed in December 2006). Agilent will continue to provide and develop leading-edge solutions in the PXI platform for our customers in the high-speed data conversion and optical transceiver manufacturing test markets,” said Tom Phillips, Integration Manager, Agilent.
The combined technology and capabilities of Agilent and Acqiris enhance Agilent’s ability to meet the ongoing demand from customers for in-product test and embedded data conversion, accelerating time-to-market and reducing cost. Acqiris’ expertise in high-speed digitizers and analyzers complements Agilent’s current product portfolio and strengthens Agilent’s synthetic instrument offerings.
PXIT provides signal integrity testing systems for broadband optical transceiver manufacturers. The combined technology and capabilities of PXIT and Agilent enable innovation in the manufacturing test market, providing R&D and manufacturing customers with increasingly flexible, cost-effective, fast and accurate test systems.
