April, 2010—Santa Clara, California, USA– Tumbler Technologies + TRUMPower has added the 400W TMPC400-72 medically approved ATX PC power supply to its product line-up. With its medical approvals and leakage current of < 90µA @ 264 VAC, the TMPC400-72 is suited for medical applications that require lower leakage. The power supply features 90-265 VAC full range input and active PFC.

The 150 x 140 x 86 mm unit comes with an IEC320/C14 AC inlet as well as a power switch. The unit complies with ATX12V and EPS12V standards. It consists of DC voltage outputs and maximum loads of +3.3V/30A, +5V/30A, dual +12V/17A,

-12V/0.8A, +5Vsb/2A, -5V/0.3A respectively. The maximum overall output is 400W, with +3.3V/+5V/+12V providing a maximum power of 380W and the combined output of +3.3V and +5V limited to 180W. The power supply comes with a standard output cableset that can meet the requirements of most PC related applications. But any other special requirements of the cableset can be accommodated as well.

The TMPC400-72 is approved to UL 60601-1, IEC 60601-1, and EN 60601-1 medical standards and complies with EN 60601-1-2 EMC standards, including EN 55011, EN 61000-3-2, EN 61000-4-2, EN 61000-4-11. MTBF of the TMPC400-72 is higher than 200,000 hours at full load @ 25°C ambient per MIL-HDBK-217F. It is 100% burn-in @ 50°C and 100% Hi-pot tested

The TMPC400-72 contains a thermally controlled ball-bearing fan with noise-killer. Additional features include short circuit protection on all outputs, output overvoltage protection, resettable power shutdown, low ripple and noise, and 0ºC to 50ºC operating temperature.

The TMPC-400-72 is priced at $239/ea in OEM quantity. Units are available from stock to 12 weeks ARO.
