The processor technology has tremendously improved during the past 20 years, and several older 68k or PowerPC are now obsolete, VME users are facing the dilemma of updating their rack without modifying existing dedicated I/O board which are still valid. ACTIS Computer has introduced a complete line of VME boards taking advantage of the latest processor technology but remaining fully compatible with the legacy VME32 and VME64 architectures. The result is a completely upgraded system with much better performance, and no need to modify anything in the legacy equipment.
