TEK Microsystems, Incorporated, the leading supplier of COTS FPGA processor solutions for defense and intelligence applications, has announced that it has been named to the prestigious Inc. 5000 list for 2010. Tekmicro achieved placement within the top 300 companies in the Government Services sector, the fastest growing sector on the list. The Inc. 5000 is an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy – America’s independent-minded entrepreneurs.
Tekmicro Named to Inc. 5000
“The leaders of the companies on this year’s Inc. 5000 have figured out how to grow their businesses during the longest recession since the Great Depression,” said Inc. president Bob LaPointe. “The 2010 Inc. 5000 showcases a particularly hardy group of entrepreneurs.”
The 2010 Inc. 5000, unveiled recently on Inc.com, serves as a unique illustration of the profound changes taking place in the U.S. economy. The Government Services sector showed the biggest gain in terms of the number of companies on the list, up 33 percent from last year to 335 companies. Government Services was also the second-fastest-growing sector in terms of median revenue growth, posting a 202 percent gain over the 2006-2009 measuring period.
“Despite a soft economy in many sectors, including the U.S. Defense markets, Tekmicro has seen growth in sales and profits. Sales in the U.S., Europe, and Australia have been strong and we anticipate a further strengthening in 2011,” comments Andrew Reddig, CEO/CTO of Tekmicro. “We credit our successes this year to our robust family of best-in-class signal acquisition and processing boards and systems that deliver unmatched signal integrity and high performance FPGA-based processing for both laboratory and deployed applications.”
