SDC Systems, the European distributor of leading edge embedded development technologies have announced that they will be at the forthcoming Military and Aerospace Electronics exhibition (www.mae-show.co.uk) to be held at Ascot, UK on the 26th September.

SDC specialise in providing European electronic engineers with a range of products and technologies that span the development process from initial design modeling through code production and debug and onto implementation and test.

SDC offer a suite of leading edge software packages and tools and each of them give the engineer the ability to shorten project schedules. Key to their stand at the MAE Show will be RTLinuxPro, an acclaimed realtime version of Linux that is ideal for mission critical projects, such as jet engine testing, and communications system development. In addition to this, SDC staff will be on hand to discuss technologies such as BIOS software for embedded devices, sophisticated data management technology to simplify the implementation of complex designs, self-test software to reduce the time required to bring-up new microprocessor based PCBs and a range of reference design platforms for engineers engaged on Intel IXP systems.

‘It should be an exciting show for us,’ said Peter Heyes, SDC’s Sales Director. ‘Engineers are looking to Linux more and more for their next project but it has always had the drawback of not meeting the performance criteria in true real time applications, as found in the military and aerospace fields, so we are expecting a lot of interest in our realtime RTLinuxPro solution from FSM Labs. In addition to this, we have several other technologies that can really accelerate development and deliver outstanding performance such as our Encirq data management product. As portable and transportable systems have become more capable, those systems have to handle vast amounts of different types of data and so embedded data management technology is becoming essential to enable engineers to efficiently implement new designs, and we have one of the most proven solutions available.’

Focusing on the key topics of the industry, the MAE Show is a one-day technical conference and exhibition that covers every aspect of this specialised field. From a program of 18 seminars engineers can build an itinerary that mirrors their specific needs. Integral to the event, the MAE06 exhibition will feature some of the most pre-eminent solutions providers in the world today. They will be onsite to show engineers innovative, secure and reliable technologies for operation in harsh and mission-critical environments. The MAE Sow claims to be the only event in the UK to pack such a structured learning, fact-finding, and networking opportunity into a single day.
