Long Beach, CA — January 17, 2005 — BittWare, Inc., the leading supplier of COTS TigerSHARC and SHARC DSP boards, announced today at the Bus and Board Conference that the company has recorded the most successful year in its 16 years of operation. Sales, bookings and profits all soundly beat the company’s 2004 growth projections, which came on top of a previous record year in 2003.
Another year of significant increases in bookings translated into another year of strong sales growth and increased bottom line profits vs. 2003.
BittWare attributes the continued success to its team of dedicated employees, to the acquisition of EZ-DSP, and to its commitment to developing high quality products based on the latest technologies. Specifically driving the increase in sales were BittWare’s product lines based on the TigerSHARC processors from Analog Devices, and the demand for the new T2 Family of COTS DSP boards. This new product family features the 600 MHz ADSP-TS201S TigerSHARC, and an innovative architecture called ATLANTiS (Advanced Transfer Link Architecture for New TigerSHARC) that results in processing performance, I/O throughput, and flexibility that simply outperforms all other COTS boards for continuous real-time signal processing applications.
“Our ADSP-TS201 board family of PCI, PMC, 6U cPCI, VME and AMC products saw tremendous success in wireless communication, instrumentation, and military applications in 2004,” said Darren Taylor, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of BittWare. “Since these boards leverage the unique strengths of both the TigerSHARC processor and BittWare’s ATLANTiS architecture, we expect our growth to continue in 2005 through new design wins and the ramp up into production of our previous design wins.”
