Tundra Semiconductor Signs Avnet Electronics in North America

Ottawa, Ontario – August 9, 2006 – Tundra Semiconductor Corporation (TSX:TUN), the leader in System Interconnect, today announced that it has signed Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas as a value-added distributor in North America, expanding Tundra’s product and support delivery to customers in the region. Avnet, one of the largest distributors of semiconductors, electronic components and embedded subsystems, will now promote, supply and support Tundra System Interconnect products throughout North America.

This new relationship addresses the rapidly growing demand from communications, networking, storage, and information technology leaders for Tundra’s PowerPC® , PCI, PCI-X, RapidIO® , VME and HyperTransportTM System Interconnect products. Avnet will add its breadth of industry knowledge, extensive customer relationships and strong regional coverage to Tundra’s current sales network in the region. Tundra’s System Interconnect products are a complementary fit with Avnet’s product line portfolio and broad customer base with opportunities in high growth markets for all Tundra products including its industry-leading RapidIO and PowerPC interconnect devices. With the addition of Avnet, a second distribution channel, Tundra will expand its customer base and strengthens sales and support for current customers.
