LEESBURG, VA – August 3, 2006 –Curtiss-Wright Embedded Computing announced that it has selected Datalight’s FlashFX Pro® flash media manager for its Continuum Software Architecture (CSA) initiative. This combined solution will be integrated across Curtiss-Wright’s core product lines, including all single board computer and quad processing product lines, and will be deployed in Q4 2006.

Curtiss Wright’s CSA is a software initiative designed to reduce development, maintenance and support costs, and simplify the integration of Curtiss-Wright components into one complete system. The CSA is engineered from the ground up to eliminate the most common issues associated with long-term, robust, embedded software developments. It brings together a diverse set of software offerings from the company’s embedded computing portfolio companies into a single, cohesive architecture.

“FlashFX Pro is an outstanding addition to Curtiss-Wright’s Continuum Software Architecture because of its advanced fault tolerance during power failures and its patented bad block management system,” said Lynn Patterson, vice president and general manager of Modular Solutions, Curtiss-Wright Controls Embedded Computing. “Our customers’ platforms and critical deployment environments demand the level of reliability delivered by Datalight’s flash media management technology.”

Datalight’s FlashFX Pro is a high performance, multi-threaded flash media manager for devices that use resident flash memory for mass storage. In addition to providing standard flash media manager features such as bad block management, wear-leveling, and data preservation, FlashFX Pro uniquely supports an extensive library of innovative flash technologies that speed integration and time-to-market for device manufacturers.

“With FlashFX Pro’s drop-in support for the numerous operating system environments that Curtiss-Wright currently supports, along with its pre-written flash interface and NAND technology modules, Datalight will help Curtiss-Wright get its solutions to market sooner,” said Cortney Jacobson, product manager for Datalight Inc.
