July 5, 2011 – Omaha, NE — Avionics Interface Technologies (AIT) will host a series of webinars to introduce their newest product lines, AS6802 Deterministic TTEthernet and AS6003 Time-Triggered Protocol (TTP), and discuss emerging avionics technologies. The first in this series will be launched Thursday, July 14. This event will serve as an introduction to Deterministic Time-Triggered Ethernet, defined by SAE as standard AS6802.

Deterministic TTEthernet is a natural extension of ARINC 664 and standard IEEE 802.3 for hard, real-time applications. It is a scalable, open Ethernet application that constantly synchronizes the clocks in all devices to offer “zero jitter” precision timing in the sub-microsecond range.

Each of the webinars will be hosted by one of AIT’s expert avionics engineers. The AS6802 webinar will be hosted by Bill Fleissner, AIT’s President and General Manager. Mr. Fleissner has designed and installed a wide variety of military test and simulation systems for the Department of Defense (DOD) and many flight test applications for NASA and DOD programs. Separately, many of these products and systems have also been used to test and simulate avionics on commercial airline development programs. Mr. Fleissner has authored articles and taught avionics bus standards at many technical conferences as he continues to research and design products for embedded flight computer applications.

Avionics Interface Technologies is a leading supplier of avionics bus interface circuits, modules and a wide array of simulation and analyzer products. The company has supported all major DOD top tier suppliers as well as the Air Force, Navy, Army, Marines and NASA directly. Their technically superior products offer both custom and commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) user software and a flexible hardware architecture based on the use of FPGAs with embedded Power PC Processors for onboard specific application programming. AIT has four office locations in the US, it is headquartered in Omaha, NE, with design and production based in Dayton, Ohio, near Wright Patterson AFB. AIT uses Technical Manufacture Representatives in North America and distributors worldwide to provide the best possible local support. AIT is a private company led by a US citizen based Board of Directors allowing for execution of sensitive and/or classified ITAR program development.
