Bohemia, New York (September 2011) Data Device Corporation (DDC) has been selected by Thales UK to supply 16-Channel Programmable Solid-State Power Controllers (SSPC) for the UK Ministry of Defence’s new Foxhound Light Protected Patrol Vehicle (LPPV). The SSPCs are a key element of the electrical and electronic architecture that Thales is providing to LPPV prime contractor, Force Protection Europe.

DDC was selected based upon the proven in-service performance of their SSPC technology, combined with the power distribution module’s advanced programmability and multichannel capabilities, along with its vital role in supporting General Vehicle Architecture (GVA) conformance.

Benefits of the RP-20161XXFC1 Power Distribution Module include:

• Replaces Conventional Circuit Breakers, Switches, and Relays

o Increases System Reliability
