Ray Milhem Joins AdvancedIO Systems Inc. Board

Vancouver, BC – October 30, 2007 – AdvancedIO® Systems, the leading provider of configurable 10 Gigabit Ethernet (10GbE) connectivity and packet processing solutions for the embedded systems market, today announced the appointment of Ray Milhem as its new Chairman of the Board. Mr. Milhem is currently the Vice President and General Manager of the Motorola Software Group (MSG). He has previously held senior management positions with Nokia, Cisco Systems, AT&T, Extreme Networks and AFC (Tellabs).

According to Ray Milhem, “AdvancedIO Systems has been leading the market with its 10GbE technology for over two years. I intend to help the company fully capitalize on its lead and growing customer base to expand across the defense, aerospace and telecommunications industries with valuable offerings that solve key technical problems.”

Ray Milhem joined Motorola as Vice President and General Manager of MSG in 2006 to lead their Network Management Solutions & Engineering (NMSE) team. Ray also chairs the Motorola Network Management Council, a company-wide Council to address all NM-related issues.

At Nokia, Ray was responsible for the Platforms team in the Security & Mobile Connectivity Group under Enterprise Solutions. His responsibilities included managing all Security appliances, the OS strategy, Performance Engineering and competitive marketing. While at Cisco Systems, Ray was responsible for the Network Management Group. During his tenure at Cisco, Ray helped develop a strategic alliance with HP, IBM, Accenture and several systems integrators. He also held senior management roles in Ciscos High-end Routing Group (GSR 12000) as well as their Broadband Business Unit. Ray has served as the Chairman of the Computer Society of the prestigious IEEE (Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineering). He is on the board of several US-based start-ups and is a member of the Board at COE College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
