Sunnyvale, CA— February 01, 2012 —PCI-SYSTEMS Inc. , a leading supplier of conduction cooled systems, today announced several OpenVPX , 3U high output Power Supplies, enabling accelerated development of rugged conduction cooled embedded systems.
The Isolated intelligent Rugged 3U VPX Power Supplies works with 18 to 36 VDC (28VDC nominal) input voltage and isolate the input voltage ground from the output voltage ground. The Isolated Rugged 3U heavy duty Power supply is conduction cooled, uses dual phase technology on all voltage rails and can provide up to 700 watts, 760W peak.
> Output voltages of +/-12V, +5V and +3.3V as well as 3.3V aux are standard.

Designed for high noise suppression, the power supply active input filtering supports the PICMG® 3.0 specifications for filtering system boards to EN55022 Class B limits.
In comparison to passive solutions, the use of active filtering reduces the volume of the common-mode choke, providing a low profile, surface mount device. Smaller size saves valuable board real estate and the reduced height enhances airflow in blade applications.
