Avionics Interface Technologies (AIT) has released an AFDX Layer 2 switch for ARINC 664p7 avionics network development, in partnership with TTTech North America. The ARINC 664p7 Switch can be paired with one of AIT/TTTech’s ARINC 664p7 interface modules to develop a fully integrated network.

The eight port, 100 MBit/s ARINC 664p7 Network Development Switch maintains hard real-time data communication and partitions for ARINC 664p7 message traffic. Each port is a full-duplex link to an ARINC 664p7 end system. The switch supports seamless integration of ARINC 664p7 applications with extremely demanding latency and jitter requirements and regular ethernet traffic.

Key Features:

• Support for an ARINC 664p7 network MAC layer protocol switch

The ARINC 664p7 Switch works with AIT’s optional A615A Data Loader software, providing avionics developers and airline operators an easy-to-use data loader tool. For ARINC 664p7 operations, target end systems are accessed by AIT’s ARINC 664p7 modules residing in the local host or remote server PC. The ARINC 615A Data Loader application is a Windows Graphical User Interface (GUI) application supporting uploads and downloads.
