Washington, D.C. ITCN, Inc. of Dayton, Ohio has been selected as one of the winners of the 2006 Tibbetts Awards. ITCN will receive the award on Sept. 26 at the Wyndham Washington, located at 1400 M Street NW in Washington, D.C.
Named for Roland Tibbetts—the person acknowledged as the father of the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program—these prestigious, national awards are made annually to those small firms, projects, organizations and individuals judged to exemplify the very best in SBIR achievement. ITCN is one of 55 companies in the U.S. to receive this award.
Established in 1991, ITCN is a small, veteran-owned business in Dayton, Ohio. ITCN designs and manufactures Instrumentation used in embedded systems, develops custom Instrumentation systems and provides senior-level hardware and software engineering services to Industry and Government customers in the Military/Aerospace market.
ITCN has been awarded three Phase I SBIRs since 1998. All three SBIRs have advanced to Phase II with one Phase III and one Enhanced Phase II. The SBIR Program has allowed ITCN to develop a third-generation instrumentation product line marketed as SystemTrace®. This product line is generating new revenues from off-the-shelf products and being used as the basis for upgrading our legacy C-TAC® instrumentation.
ITCN’s monitoring technology currently supports programs such as AH-1, ATLAS V, B-2, B-1B, C-17, F-15, F-18, P-3, MH-60, and various Electronic Warfare systems. Robins AFB, Tinker AFB, Wright-Patterson AFB, NAWC Patuxent River, NAWC China Lake, Redstone Arsenal, Northrop Grumman, Boeing, Lockheed Martin and Raytheon are counted among ITCN’s customer base.
