BURNABY, BRITISH COLUMBIA–(Marketwire – May 18, 2010) – Spectrum Signal Processing by Vecima (“Spectrum”) (TSX:VCM), trusted supplier to top Defense prime contractors worldwide for more than 20 years, today announced the shipment of the new XMC-1131 high-speed dual analog-to-digital converter (ADC) module to several leading Defense primes. Spectrum’s XMC-1131 is the sister card of the XMC-2131, which has received over $1 million in orders this year. These modules are part of Spectrum’s series of software-reconfigurable platforms and are used in signals intelligence (SIGINT), electronic warfare (EW), and military communications (MILCOM) systems.

The XMC-1131 features a large Xilinx(R) Virtex(R)-5 FX200T FPGA, combined with a dual channel 14-bit ADC sampling at up to 250 MSPS, in a single-width XMC (Vita 42.0) form factor. The module offers 512 MB of DDR2 SDRAM memory, an extensive front panel general purpose I/O (GPIO) connector, and Spurious-Free Dynamic Range (SFDR) greater than 85 dB. The XMC-1131 is compatible with Spectrum’s CompactPCI, PCIe, PCI-X, and VME based product lines.
