July 25, 2011 – Mission1st Group, Inc. of Shrewsbury, NJ is a Minority and Woman Owned Small Business, and an Authorized Avaya Small Business Partner. Specializing in Information Technology Services, Mission1st is announcing that it completed the requirements for accreditation to install and commission the Avaya Aura Application Server 5300, also known as the AS5300.

The AS5300 is a next generation SIP-based solution for unified communications that meets the requirements and standards of military and civilian government agencies. The AS5300 is a highly scalable, high availability, software-based solution operating on commercial off-the-shelf hardware and delivers secure communications, including IP telephony, conferencing, unified messaging, and instant messaging.

“This accreditation is the first for any Avaya partner worldwide, and one that Mission1st is proud to have attained,” said Richard Zareck II, Mission1st’s President and CEO. “Our installation engineers have been installing and commissioning heritage Nortel equipment for more than 30 years, and have been involved with the AS5300 platform since its inception.”

Mission1st will focus on the installation and commissioning of the AS5300 platform, supporting its partners and customers on numerous projects under a range of contracting vehicles. Mission1st announced that it has already been awarded the installation of the AS5300 at six (6) Department of Defense locations. Mission1st is positioned and ready to support future AS5300 opportunities.
