Woodcliff Lake, NJ: May 23rd 2005: Once again providing evidence of the industry-leading nature of its products, Radstone Embedded Computing today announced that the company had secured a $26.7 million order from Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems of Tewksbury, Massachusetts.

Radstone is to provide its G4DSP rugged digital signal processors for use in the latest phase of the MK-48 Advanced Capability (ADCAP)/Advanced Common Torpedo (ACOT) upgrade program, which is a joint development between the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) of Newport, Rhode Island and Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems. Also included in the order is a quantity of Radstone’s PPC4A single board computer. This most recent award brings the total value of orders received on this program to over $38.0 million.

“Our product development is heavily customer-centric,” said Peter Cavill, President of Radstone Embedded Computing, “and Raytheon was one of the first companies to whom we demonstrated the G4DSP concept. Their feedback was invaluable, helping to create a product which, when it was launched, was substantially superior to its competitors in terms of the throughput achievable from its innovative loosely coupled architecture, its support of industry leading multi-tasking, multi-threaded real time operating systems and its low power consumption. We’re delighted to receive this further vote of confidence in the G4DSP, and look forward to continuing to work with Raytheon to ensure the success of the ACOT program.”
