Hong Kong, November 9, 2004 – Tundra Semiconductor Corporation (“Tundra”) (TSX:TUN) today announced the appointment of John Hartley as Regional Director for Asia-Pacific operations. Mr. Hartley will be responsible for developing business opportunities for Tundra in the region. Key roles include working with the top regional customers, overseeing distribution management, fostering relationships with local partners, and building the Asia-Pacific Tundra team.

“Asia-Pacific is one of our fastest growing markets, and we plan to increase our visibility and investment in this region,” said Jim Roche, President and Chief Executive Officer of Tundra. “Our System Interconnect products assist our Asia-Pacific customers to compete more effectively internationally.”

“Asia contributed to more than half of our worldwide growth in our last fiscal year, and we expect high levels of growth to continue in this region,” said Joe Connelly, Vice President, Sales and Marketing of Tundra. “We believe that John’s comprehensive experience in doing business in Asia-Pacific, extensive industry contacts, and strong leadership and management skills are key to supporting Tundra’s growing presence in the region.”

“China and Japan are our fastest growing markets in the Asia-Pacific region. A solid presence in this region will position Tundra to take advantage of the global outsourcing trend in semiconductors,” said John Hartley, Regional Director, Asia-Pacific of Tundra. “More and more customers are choosing to outsource their System Interconnect requirements to Tundra so they can focus on building their core competencies.”

A senior in the industry with more than 12 years of business development and distribution management experience, Mr. Hartley joined Tundra in May 2001 as Distribution Manager responsible for Tundra’s sales channels and distributors in Europe. In January 2003 he was promoted to Worldwide Director of Distribution, where he played a leading role in the global management of manufacturers’ representatives and distributors.

Prior to joining Tundra, he held a number of senior distribution executive positions at Arizona Microchip Technology Inc., and Rohm Electronic (UK) Ltd., where he was responsible for maximizing and monitoring distribution channels’ revenue growth in the UK, Ireland, the Nordic region and Russia; as well successfully setting up distribution centers, warehouses and organization logistics.
