We have renamed VME and Critical Systems to VITA Technologies with the March issue of the magazine. We did this to allow more flexibility to keep up with the expanding scope of the projects being undertaken by the VITA Standards Organization (VSO). The new name encompasses the small form factor work, reliability guidance, new mezzanines, and much more, basically, anything emerging out of the standards work from the VSO.
The March issue has a feature article on FMCs written by the chair of the VITA 57 working group, Malachy Devlin. There is also an article on Critical Embedded Systems focused on the definition of these systems. And I think you will find the article on “Ten Critical Embedded System Trends to Watch in 2012” will give you somethings to make you think about this year.
We have many other great topics in store for later in the year.
