Austin, TX, September 24, 2007 – Power.org today revealed the Power Architecture Solutions Stack, a foundational tool developed to help users identify and evaluate readily available Power Architecture technology components and offering providers. As part of a community wide solutions initiative focused developing an open infrastructure that makes it easier to integrate next generation Power Architecture solutions, the Solutions Stack provides centralized vendor neutral source of information on Power Architecture applications, products and solutions.

The initial version of this framework, available for viewing online at www.power.org/solutions_stack, organizes solutions components by technology category and by vertical market. In subsequent phases of the initiative, Power.org plans to deliver a full Solutions catalog with flexible array of user search and filtering features. All Power ecosystem members interested in expanding exposure for their offerings will be able to submit their offerings for inclusion in the catalog.

“This framework is a core milestone in Power.org’s effort to increase synergy among Power Architecture solutions providers and the tools that enable the open systems development required for competitive procurement and higher levels of collaboration innovation,” said Fawzi Behmann, chairperson of the Power.org Marketing Committee. “The development of the Solutions Architecture and Repository is needed to manage the complexity of future applications and technologies and to assist the development of advanced Power Architecture-based devices and systems.”
