New York, New York, May 15, 2012 –Pentagon 2000 Software, Inc., the leading provider of software solutions for the Aerospace & Defense industry, is pleased to announce that S&K Aerospace, LLC, Parts and Repair Technical Services, Inc., and General Dynamics Information Technology, the winners of the US Air force PROS IV (Parts and Repair Ordering System) program, selected Pentagon 2000SQL™ to run supply chain and materials managements functions for the program.
The PROS IV contract (www.prosiv.com) is the fifth generation non-standard parts ordering program for support of US Department of Defense Logistics Systems. The contract value is estimated at close to $1 billion over a five-year period and the program provides for the full range of logistics support to Tri-Service Air Force, Army and Navy Foreign Military Sales customers in over 90 countries.
Program requirements include support for approximately 60,000 transactions per year related to spare parts, component repair maintenance, and task orders. The scope of services span the full range from quoting to fulfillment to invoicing, and requires the capability to support robust quality assurance, audit tracking, export controls, warranty, documentation, and standard Defense Department forms. Secure XML messaging interfaces will be deployed for real-time on-line access to program data by the Air Force Security Assistance Center, and the system will provide a critical interface between the US Department of Defense Logistics System and Foreign Military Sales customers.
Anthony Amadeo, VP of operations at S & K Aerospace, said that “after careful and thorough review of available software applications, it became clear to us that Pentagon 2000SQL™ provided the most complete set of capabilities needed to support program requirements. The system has a wide array of functionality for defense industry supply chain management, while the price-performance of the implementation will provide a critical ability for us to hold the line on program operating costs”.
Gabriel Mofaz, President of Pentagon 2000 Software, Inc., commented that “The team at S&K Aerospace, Parts and Repair Technical Services, and General Dynamics Information Technology have a deep level of experience managing defense industry supply chain programs, so their selection of Pentagon 2000SQL™ as the platform to manage critical program operations is an honor for us, and we will work diligently with them to support the departments and agencies that depend on the program”.
