Cambridge Design Partnership has announced that it will be presenting at the Device Developers’ Conference, a UK event for the developers of intelligent systems and devices. This event will take place in Cambridge, Bristol and Manchester in May of this year.
Xorge Castro, Consultant Design Engineer will present at the Cambridge event to discuss the various stages of ‘enclosure design’ when taking a new product to market.
Cambridge Design Partnership is a leading research, design and development consultancy working in the consumer, medical, and industrial markets. This team has delivered hundreds of new product development projects and filed well over 300 patents, winning many international design and innovation awards.
“Enclosure design can be a very challenging aspect of device development,“ said Richard Blackburn, Event Organiser. “In this respect we are very pleased to have Xorge presenting on this topic. Cambridge Design Partnership has a great deal of experience in this field and work with leading edge technologies such as 3D CAD, Simulation Tool, Finite Element Analysis and 3D printing. I feel sure that this presentation will prove very informative and worthwhile for many engineers in this field.”
The Device Developers’ Conference is a one-day conference to be run in Bristol (14th May), Cambridge (16th May) and Manchester (22nd May). Covering electronic design, embedded hardware, embedded software, debug tools, PCB design, enclosure design and test and manufacturing, this event is the first UK conference of its type to address the requirements of the entire development team. The event includes a selection of half-day technical workshops, a schedule of informative presentations and an exhibition of industry vendors. The conference and exhibition is free to engineers, engineering students and project managers in the technical sector but there will be a small charge for the technical workshops.
“This event provides engineers and programmers with an opportunity to meet a broad range of experts in their field,” said Richard. “A chance for them to explore new technologies, discover new tools and learn how other engineers are overcoming the challenges when working to create market leading products and advanced electronic systems.
Cambridge Design Partnership will also be exhibiting at the Cambridge event, so engineers will have the chance to chat at length with Xorge and maybe see a demonstration of the technologies he is using. ”
The Device Developers’ Conference is run in three locations across the UK to enable easy access for engineers whilst also minimising travel time and hotel costs. Other presentations at the event will discuss such topics as the exploitation of high performance, low power smart phone technology for industrial applications, the management of Open Source Software for commercial projects, the many benefits of advanced debug tools, how to write code that will be portable, and using advanced PCB CAD tools.
About The Device Developers’ Conference
The Device Developers’ Conference is planned to be an annual UK event for the developers of intelligent systems and devices. The 2013 event will take place in May, in Cambridge, Bristol and Manchester.
The objective is to provide an event that provides engineers with an opportunity to learn about the latest tools, technologies and techniques for the successful development of leading edge electronic products and systems.
Sponsored by a broad range of industry vendors, the exhibition and conference, including a series of 40-minute technical presentations, is free to engineers and project managers working in the technology sector. Half-day workshops in various specialisms are available at a small charge.
