NEWTON, Mass.–Aug. 1, 2005–Global Technology Conferences today announced that submissions are being accepted for the New Product Forum award at GSPx 2005. The award recognizes the best new hardware and software products in the areas of signal processing, DSPs, embedded applications and EDA tools for developing signal-processing chips or subsystems. GSPx will take place October 24-27 at the Santa Clara Convention Center, with the New Product Forum awards presented on October 25.
“The New Product Forum is a highly anticipated event, drawing award submissions from around the world,” said Dr. Amnon Aliphas, GSPx conference chair. “GSPx offers companies the ideal place to unveil new products because of the convergence of industry leaders, buyers and developers.”
The submission deadline for the New Product Forum is September 26. Products for consideration cannot be publicly announced prior to October 25.
Will Strauss and Jim Lipman will again judge the New Product Forum. They will select products for showcase inclusion as well as the award winners. They will honor embargoes on submitted products until October 25.
Strauss is the president and principal DSP analyst of Forward Concepts, a market research firm focused on digital signal processing and related fields. He contributes to Embedded Computing Design and EE Times, and regularly pens IEEE Signal Processing Magazine’s “Signal Processing Market Musing” column. Lipman is a recognized expert in the embedded industry. He is a former technical editor of EDN and is a contributor to TechOnline and SOCCentral.
To be included in the New Product Forum and considered for the award, companies must submit:
