Ipeco Electronics launches a range of ITAR-free ½ ATR chassis power systems, suitable for use in aerospace and defence applications. |
St. Neots, United Kingdom – Ipeco Electronics, specialists in the design, development and manufacture of high-reliability power supplies and systems, has launched a range of ITAR-free ½ ATR power systems; available in Short and Long chassis formats with integral backplanes.
The range launches with a ½ ATR Short, capable of accepting up to eight customer cards, and a ½ ATR Long, capable of accepting up to 20 cards; where cards can be of cPCI, VME or VPX format. Both the Short and Long systems include an Ipeco Electronics 3U P47 500W six-output, EMC-filtered and conditioned VPX PSU; which features the company’s optimised quarter and eighth brick in-house designed power modules.
The PSU can be supplied with +12, +28 or +48V input modules. Depending on the input module fitted, PSU output voltages include +5V, at up to 50A, +3V3 at up to 40A, and +12V at up to 25A. Optional outputs include -12V auxiliary (at up to 2.5A), +12V auxiliary (at 1A) and +3V3 auxiliary (at up to 4A). Also, a ‘Power Good’ signal indicates when all outputs are within 5% of their nominal value. Optional extras include output hold-up, up to 150mS, and land class A (extreme) filtration.
Chris Austin, Managing Director of Ipeco Electronics, comments: “The ½ ATR power system joins our growing range of solutions built around an industry standard form factor PSU. However, as an OEM of full- and semi-custom solutions we can develop power systems to suit virtually any requirement.”
Ipeco Electronics’ ITAR-free ½ ATR Short and Long power systems are available immediately; and chassis, PSU and backplane datasheets are available upon request.
