Curtiss-Wright Controls Significantly Lowers the Cost of Rugged Graphics Hardware and Drivers

ASHBURN, VA – August 19, 2013 – Curtiss-Wright Controls Defense Solutions, a business group of Curtiss-Wright Controls, today announced dramatic new pricing structures for its popular PMC-704A, PMC-706A and XMC-715 graphics display and video capture cards. The new pricing schedule eliminates the cost of graphics driver run-time licenses for the rugged mezzanine cards, while establishing the industry’s lowest pricing for a graphics solution. The new pricing makes it even easier for system designers to add cost-effective graphics display and video capture functionality to their rugged deployed defense and aerospace systems.

“Our new graphics solution pricing offers our customers the market’s best value by far for graphics hardware and drivers,” said Lynn Bamford, senior vice president and general manager of Curtiss-Wright Controls Defense Solutions. “Without question, Curtiss-Wright provides the best value in rugged embedded graphics hardware and software, complemented with the industry’s most complete range of services and our legendary support.”

About the PMC-704A/PMC-706A Graphics Display/Video Capture Modules

Having recently undergone a midlife update the PMC-704/6 products have the highest Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and longest life cycle in the industry, with over 10,000 units deployed in rugged applications over 10 years. Still available today, it continues to offer the best value, lowest risk embedded graphics solution.

About the XMC-715 High Performance Graphics Module

The XMC-715 is a low-power AMD Radeon E4690 GPU graphics module designed for harsh environments. This module provides a highly reliable low-weight graphics module with wide Real Time Operating System (RTOS) graphics driver support including DO-178B/C certifiability up to level A. Combined with a minimum 15 years production lifecycle, the XMC-715 is an ideal choice for minimizing production program risk.
