CHELMSFORD, Mass. – February 3, 2014 – Mercury Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRCY, www.mrcy.com), a best-of-breed provider of commercially developed, open sensor and Big Data processing systems for critical commercial, defense and intelligence applications, announced it received an $11 million follow-on order from a leading defense prime contractor for high performance microwave subsystems for an electronic warfare application. The orders were received in Mercury’s fiscal 2014 second quarter, with deliveries currently expected to span 2015 through 2018.

“This order showcases precisely the type of cost-effective technology leverage that Mercury can deliver for our customers’ most important and challenging programs,” said Kevin Beals, Vice President and General Manager of Mercury’s RF and Microwave units. “Our recent track record of successfully transitioning complex microwave subsystems to production coupled with our dedication to improving manufacturing efficiency and capacity were important factors in Mercury being chosen by our customer for this program. It is yet another example of how successfully executing our M&A strategy has enabled us to build additional capability along the sensor processing chain, thereby expanding our exposure to new customers and key defense programs.”
