Mercury Systems Receives $2M Order for High-Performance Digital Signal Processing Modules for Radar Application

September 29, 2015

CHELMSFORD, Mass. – Mercury Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRCY, www.mrcy.com), a leading high-tech commercial provider of more affordable secure and sensor processing subsystems powering today’s critical defense and intelligence applications, announced today that it has been awarded a $7.1 million indefinite quantity/indefinite delivery (IDIQ) contract by the U.S. Naval Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC) to supply advanced radio frequency (RF) tuners, digital receivers and related equipment to be used as spares during the installation of the AN/SLQ-32(V)6 electronic countermeasure system on U.S. Navy and Coast Guard ships. Work will be performed at the Company’s headquarters in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, and is expected to be complete by May 2020. The AN/SLQ-32(V)6 was developed as part of the Navy’s Surface Electronic Warfare Improvement Program (SEWIP), which is an upgrade to the AN/SLQ-32 electronic warfare anti-ship missile defense system.

“The Navy’s requirement to deny or degrade hostile uses of the electromagnetic spectrum has placed new demands on existing electronic warfare systems,” said Charlie Hudnall, General Manager of Mercury’s Embedded Sensor Products group. “This contract reaffirms Mercury’s leading-edge capabilities in RF, digital signal processing and data movement. Our array of RF, microwave and mixed-signal offerings deliver ultra-fast tuning, high dynamic range, and extreme data processing – all critical elements of electronic warfare support measures.”
