COLUMBIA, Md., Dec. 16 /PRNewswire/ — Eurotech, a leading supplier of embedded technologies, products and systems, today announces a 1.2 Million USD contract to supply embedded computers for an automated chemical delivery system. The contract allows the customer to meet market demand and extend product life by migrating to the latest embedded systems technology.

The customer chose Eurotech to upgrade to a newer, drop-in compatible embedded computer and extend the lifecycle of their automated chemical delivery system. Used in silicon wafer factories, the system ensures chemical purity and precision delivery to maximize the efficiency and uptime of the production facility. Based on the ARM Architecture, the Eurotech embedded computer offers advanced processing capabilities with low power consumption to meet the demands of both the customer and its end users.

As a consequence of the cost cutting exercise that almost all companies have been obliged to address due to the economic downturn, several reduced budgets for their developments, so renewing the existing products in order to extend their lifecycle has become the preferred strategy. An effective way to achieve this is by installing the latest digital technologies into legacy products which is where Eurotech plays a leading role given its proven experience in high performance, low power embedded platforms.

“Eurotech works closely with each client to find a solution that meets their needs, and in this case we were able to save the client time and money by extending their product lifecycle,” explained Greg Nicoloso, chief executive officer of Eurotech Inc. “This contract demonstrates our exceptional customer support ability across the organization to meet client needs for strong, lasting business relationships.”
