Intelligent test and simulation board for interfacing with an Avionics Ethernet network

The EXC-ETHPCIe/2 is an intelligent test and simulation board for interfacing with an Avionics Ethernet network. It supports two modules, each of which has one full-duplex port. The board also contains room for two standard 4000 modules that can support multiple channels of other avionics communications protocols including MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429, Serial, Discrete, ARINC-708 and CANbus. The EXC-ETHPCIe/2 supports Direct Memory Access (DMA), which enables the board to access system memory for reading and writing independently of the computer’s CPU. This results in faster data transfer to and from the board, with much less CPU overhead than when not using DMA. The board has a universal PCI Express interface that is compatible with any PCI Express slot.
