Aegis Power Systems, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of custom power supplies, has announced the release of its latest DC-DC converter. The LMA501 is designed for high performance in compact applications engaging harsh environments.

This COTS military power supply solution delivers high power capability and high efficiency in a low-profile, easy to mount layout. The LMA501 provides 750W of power with 93% typical efficiency and is designed as a complement to the Aegis Power Systems VME550 series of rack-mounted 28Vdc power cards. The LMA501 can also be configured with other output voltages (12Vdc, 24Vdc and 48Vdc) and may be paralleled for higher power capabilities.

The cold plate cooled LMA501 power converter measures just 4.5″ x 6″ x 0.75″, making it suitable for use in a variety of compact devices including unmanned vehicles and aircraft, robotics, and defense equipment. Additionally, this rugged DC-DC converter is designed to meet portions of MIL-STD-810F vibration and shock requirements and designed to meet portions of the MIL-STD-461E EMI requirements.

Upon request, Aegis Power Systems can customize the LMA501 for specialized configurations to meet specific requirements. Please review the LMA501 spec sheet for details.
