The ISO 14001 standard requires a company to implement policies and procedures that will result in an environmental management system.
To achieve ISO 14001 certification, Carlo Gavazzi Computing Solutions developed a statement announcing its commitment to preventing pollution, identified all company products and activities that might have an impact on the environment, and set performance objectives to meet goals specified in the environmental commitment statement. The company also agreed to participate in regular audits of its environmental practices.

The ISO 14001:2004 certification is valid from September 26, 2007 until September 18, 2010, and is subject to renewal at that time.
