Toronto, Canada – GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) has released of the MXH and MXU antenna multiplexers (GAO733001) designed to ease integration efforts for devices requiring multiple read-points. Digital control of the multiplexer is accomplished by either the host or reader module that allows any of the eight antennas to be explicitly addressed using three GPIO pins.

Both the MXH and MXU can be equipped with 4 or 8 antenna ports depending on the application requirements. The antenna multiplexers boast low infrastructure costs by using the multiplexers in order to minimize the number of readers required to support multiple read-points. Additional multiplexers can be added to increase the number of antennas so that a module can support beyond eight presenting a scalable solution.
