DK3 and DK6 for 3U and 6U VPX System Development

The DK3 (3U VPX) and DK6 (6U VPX) include a power and ground backplane as standard, integrated power supply, fan cooling and rear transition slots. The standard configuration supports 8 VPX modules at 1.2” pitch, and each individual slot is easily configurable to accept either a conduction or air-cooled module. Three power supply options allow a mix of 12V or 5V modules or a full complement of either module type. Seven temperature sensor controlled fans provide cooling for high heat dissipating modules. Custom backplanes may include VITA 66 and 67 optical and RF apertures along with VPX and SOSA-aligned slot profiles as needed at .8”, 1” and 1.2” pitches up to 12 slots.
Work with LCR to identify and provide a custom slot to slot backplane cabling kit for use in developing the backplane profile in support of your specific application. LCR is an established partner in the design and manufacture of leading edge ATR style VPX chassis for defense programs.
