PISCATAWAY, N.J. – July 27, 2011 – In response to the explosive demand for Power Architecture® technology throughout Asia, Power.org today announced plans for its ASIA Power Architecture Conference, a one day executive conference to be held in Shenzhen, China, September 1, 2011. This conference will herald the 20th anniversary of Power Architecture technology and disclose future vision and application of the technology. The 2011 ASIA Power Architecture Conference is ideal for C-level executives, managers, engineers, designers, SoC architects, software and third party tool developers, and academia.
“Unlike any other forum, the Power Architecture Conference 2011 will present executives with a unique opportunity to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Power Architecture technology and learn how the technology will continue to drive innovation in a variety of interconnected, interactive and intelligent systems,” said Elmer Corbin, member, Board of Directors for Power.org. “Join conference sponsors IBM, Freescale, Synopsys, C*Core, Chinachip, and VeriSilicon to learn how this technology is leading the new century of smart systems helping the world connect, interact and think.”
The ASIA Power Architecture Conference will feature “Watson” – the IBM computer system based on POWER7 microprocessors that can quickly and precisely answer natural language questions over an open and broad range of knowledge. A Watson demo will be on hand to showcase the limitless possibilities of this thinking machine.
Following the keynote address from a Chinese government official, executives and experts from Power.org member companies will present an array of business and technical tutorials, solutions and demonstrations. In addition, an executive round table discussion of requirements and challenges for next-generation smart systems entitled, “ThinkPower for the Future,” will give attendees the chance to hear from industry leaders about their insights, and the “Network & Showcase” will demonstrate state-of-the-art products and solutions based on Power Architecture technology.
“Power Architecture technology has been inspiring innovation for more than 20 years,” said Preet Virk, member, Board of Directors for Power.org. “This event will provide direct access to some of the industry’s most renowned experts who, collaboratively, have driven this technology to worldwide market leadership. In addition, it will showcase how Power Architecture technology will be a fundamental building block for the future – the mind, heart and core of computing and communications for the decades to come.”
