Chatsworth, Calif. April 2011 – Aitech Defense Systems Inc., a pioneer in embedded systems design and development products for space applications, has promoted James Fults to director of engineering for the company’s space business sector. Fults replaces Anthony Lai.

Having worked at Aitech for the past decade as principal engineer, Fults is uniquely positioned to direct the company’s space-related business. The company’s wide range of radiation-tolerant electronics is used in such critical space programs as the Space Shuttle, the International Space Station and the MIR Space Station.
Fults has amassed a broad knowledge base in embedded computing hardware design in a career spanning over 30 years. These include board and ASIC design as well as FPGA implementation. Jim holds a BS in electrical engineering from California Polytechnic University, Pomona.
