Carol Burch, Sr. Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations, ThermalWorks, added, “It’s wonderful to finally be able to say that we have product on the shelf, ready to send out to our licensees. ST10 and ST325 are ready to ship and new products on the way through 2006.”

John Beard, CEO/President, Lewcott states “This is an excellent opportunity for Lewcott to utilize our chemistry to enhance the performance of an innovative technology, STABLCOR. We at Lewcott are excited to team with ThermalWorks to bring about a revolutionary change to the PCB industry.”

STABLCOR technology pulls heat away from the components through the PCB. The technology has the ability to match the CTE (Coefficient of Thermal Expansion) of PCBs and substrates to large scaled BGAs (Ball Grid Arrays) and WLP (Wafer Level Packages). The higher stiffness and rigidity of STABLCOR allows higher yields in assembly manufacturing and reduction of mechanical reinforcements. This total PCB and substrate solution increases the overall reliability of the end product.

Thermalworks is a technology-leading supplier of advanced thermal products to the electronics market. Thermalworks holds the worldwide IP rights to the new carbon composite laminate known as STABLCOR®, and licenses this technology to leading circuit board fabricators and manufacturers. Stablcor® provides thermal, CTE, weight and rigidity solutions to the industry through its patented technology and process in Printed Circuit Boards and Substrates. Thermalworks, with headquarters in Anaheim, CA, operates with licensed manufacturers and service offices in the USA. More information is available about Thermalworks on www.thermalworks.com .

Lewcott, founded in 1965 is known as a leading edge supplier of a wide range of high performance materials using fiberglass, carbon, aramids and other specialty fabrics. Lewcott’s capabilities include developing and manufacturing phenolic resins. These materials are used in aerospace, industrial, military and security applications.
