Mansfield, Texas, USA – July 27, 2005 – Mouser Electronics, Inc., the fastest growing distributor in the electronics industry, today announced that it has entered into a distribution agreement with Oki Semiconductor and will be the first catalog distributor to market Oki’s new-to-the-industry products.

Oki Semiconductor, a leading technology partner for the new era of digital communications and convergence, designs and manufactures a broad line of advanced integrated circuits for the telecommunications, automotive, computer, medical, and consumer market segments. Oki’s portfolio of products includes microcontroller, ASIC, memory, speech synthesis, and RF devices.

One of the newest Oki products that Mouser will distribute is the 4060 Series 32-bit ARM7®-based Advantage Microcontroller™, which is ‘The World’s Smallest ARM®’ at 5mm x 5mm. The 4060 Series provides system designers with a unique combination of a small footprint, low power requirements, legacy 8- and 16-bit support, and a broad set of serial communications interfaces that can be easily integrated into a wide array of applications. Oki’s 4060 Series is ideal for product designers of consumer, medical, and industrial applications where board space is limited.

“We are thrilled to add Mouser to our distribution channel,” said Todd Bartol, Director, North American Distribution Sales, Oki Semiconductor. “Mouser does a great job introducing new products to the engineering community and their unique customer base will complement our sales strategy of reaching previously untapped markets.”

According to Mouser President and CEO Glenn Smith, the distribution agreement with Oki Semiconductor is in keeping with the distributor’s business model of continuing to offer the newest, most innovative products and the latest technologies to its customers.

“We are pleased to be the first catalog distributor to market Oki’s newest products to the design engineering community,” Smith said. “This new relationship fits well with our business model of bringing the most innovative products and the latest technologies from the premiere suppliers of the industry.”

Mouser’s unique customer base of well over 100,000 business accounts focuses primarily on the design-in and prototyping stage of the design cycle and are comprised of a wide range of small, medium and large companies, universities, and engineering consultants who recommend, specify and purchase board level components for product designs.

In addition to delivering the newest products and the latest technologies, Mouser also delivers outstanding customer service – regardless of the size of the customer or the size of the order. For years Mouser has achieved the highest marks for outstanding customer service and is a preferred distributor of design engineers because there is no minimum order size and the company routinely breaks packs to fulfill smaller prototyping orders.

The company’s excellent technical group and sales staff are available to take customer calls and process orders from 7 am to 8 pm CST. And the streamlined warehouse fulfillment process allows same-day shipping on most orders from its state-of-the-art 173,000 square foot facility.
