Mill Creek, Washington, April 19, 2006– Huntron, Inc., a leading supplier of flexible, automated diagnostic solutions to help people solve circuit card problems, announced today the addition of Elicon’s EMA Magnifying Viewer to its North American product offerings. The EMA-3430 is an operator assisted optical inspection platform that provides the operator the benefits of Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and flexibility of manual inspection. The EMA Windows-based user interface provides for stand alone inspection as well as importing failure data from in line AOI machines or Functional testers where precise visual verification is needed.
“When operator intervention is required for visual inspection such as a rework station the goal is fast, accurate verification. The EMA Magnifying Viewer allows the operator 360 degree camera control for complete viewing. With the changeover to lead free solder, customers are faced with more operator intervention in diagnosing process problems” said Jim Crosson, Vice President of Huntron. “This viewer clearly fits our mission of providing tools that help people solve circuit card problems.”

About Huntron
Celebrating 30 years in business this July, Huntron is a supplier of tools for engineers and technicians, who test, diagnose and troubleshoot printed circuit assemblies. As density and complexity increase, printed circuit assemblies become tougher for standardized equipment to probe and test. Huntron complements conventional equipment with access and test tools that catch the elusive problems other methods often miss. The keys are physical and virtual access, which translate into meaningful results such as shorter design cycles, improved production yields and lower warranty costs. When you need to test, diagnose or troubleshoot complex circuit boards, Huntron lets you access, explore and discover more.
