Spark Integration Technologies, Inc. (Spark) announces the latest release of Distrix®, the industry-leading software tool for distributed information exchange and systems integration in mixed-environment systems. Distrix 2.2 introduces fine-grained control over information exchange, improved data segregation and security, more control over information logging, and automatic code generation for customers with user-defined protocols.
Distrix 2.2 simplifies sensor data collection and remote device management by enabling logical segregation of data within multi-tenant networks. This avoids the need for point-to-point VPN setup and management between each device and the cloud. Combined with the pluggable encryption API in Distrix, developers can implement their own custom, or off-the-shelf endpoint encryption, without any impact on their applications.
Distrix now provides dynamic control over scope management in system information models. Information flows can be restricted to subdomains within systems of systems as needed. This allows developers to simply and effectively implement automated throttling of information exchange in bandwidth-constrained environments. Dynamically configurable information flows enable developers to build highly adaptable systems without operator intervention.
Distrix 2.2 saves development effort and costs by providing easy-to-use tools to control information flows and introduce segregation and security into their applications quickly and easily. It also reduces the strain on operational resources by interpreting and segregating data.
System logging has been improved by adding more options to simplify testing and debug tasks. The Distrix logging system can be configured to deliver highly detailed debug information or critical error detection into a wide variety of logging and log management tools.
Distrix System Builder 2.2 now provides automatic code generation support for user-defined protocol modules, saving time in creating network communication logic, and allowing system developers to focus on value-added features.
Spark has also added out-of-the-box support for UDP over Ethernet. With new support for secure, low-bandwidth, high-latency connections, such as multi-hop satcom links, developers can add encrypted UDP support to their systems without reengineering.
“Distrix 2.2 is packed with new features that benefit system integrators and product designers,” says Chad Trytten, CEO of Spark Integration Technologies, Inc. “It is built to enable simple, fast, and flexible implementation for all data segregation and security needs in mixed-environment network-based systems.”
