3U VPX air cooled 10 slot OpenVPX chassis with PCIe Gen. 2 switch, Rapid I/O switch and Ethernet switch on backplane mezzanine board |
Dec. 21, 2009—PCI-SYSTEMS Inc., a leading supplier of conduction cooled systems, today announced a NEW 3U VPX Vita 48 air cooled 10 slot OpenVPX chassis with PCIe Gen. 2 switch, Rapid I/O switch and Ethernet switch on backplane mezzanine board.
Technology overview:
The 3U Air Cooled Chassis shown here comes with a 10 slot 1” pitch backplane plus two, 400 Watt Modular Power Supplies with 14-36VDC input.
The chassis is manufactured from aluminum to guarantee maximum ruggedness at minimum weight. There are several different forced air cooling trays available that fit under the 3U VPX Vita 48 air cooled 10 slot chassis.
This new chassis is equipped with a 96 lane PLX Inc. PCIe Gen. 2 switch,IDT Rapid I/O switch with 4 lanes per slot and Gigabit Ethernet switch on a backplane mezzanine board.
Extremely high throughput is guaranteed by using 8 lanes per slot with PCIe Gen.2 speed.
The backplane and mezzanine is also used in PCI-SYSTEMS NEW 3U VPX Vita 48 conduction cooled 10 slot OpenVPX chassis.
Rear I/O transition modules are standard. The rear panel can be easily customized to adapt to your rugged application. Also this chassis may be easily customized for fewer slots to reduce width and the rear I/O may be modified to reduce depth for special applications.
This chassis is an ideal solution as a hardware/software development platform and can be easily upgraded for fully rugged projects.
PCI embedded computer systems manufactures a variety of conduction cooled carrier boards for different bus architectures and can customize mechanical shapes and layout changes even for small quantities with fast turnaround times.
PCI-SYSTEMS Inc. develops and manufactures intelligent CPU and peripheral boards as well as advanced mechanical design solutions in the US and Germany for many platforms that provide precision control of robotic and automated equipment in the semiconductor, medical and industrial equipment markets as well as for ruggedized embedded OEM applications in airborne and defense applications.
