As a part of a schedule of half-day technology workshops, Intel will be giving engineers the opportunity to build an embedded system based on their acclaimed low power, small footprint Atom microprocessor.
This year’s Embedded Masterclass is to be held at Cambridge on the 5th October and is now the leading UK embedded systems conference and exhibition. www.embedded-masterclass.com
UMR, the organisers have announced that this year’s event is receiving stronger industry support than ever before and is on track to offer engineers an informative and productive experience.
“This year’s event is shaping up well,” said David Williams. “Intel presenting this workshop is a good example of the value that engineers can find at this event. Other workshops cover such topics as Embedded Windows, multi-core development and safety critical development. “
This year’s event has attracted sponsorship from key industry players such as Intel, Wind River, Green Hills Software, and Lauterbach, as well as support from the National Micro-electronics Institute (NMI) and Electronics Knowledge Transfer Network (Electronics KTN).
The Intel workshop will focus on the Intel® UEFI standard based Boot Loader Development Kit for embedded systems as a key building block for Intel® Atom™ based embedded systems. In this workshop, delegates will build an embedded system based on Intel® Atom™ E6xx Processor Series, Intel® Boot Loader Development Kit and a Linux* distribution.
“We are very pleased with the level of industry support and enthusiasm that exists for this year’s Embedded Masterclass,” said David Williams, Director of UMR. “This event is on track to be a very useful and productive day for engineers and managers working in the Embedded Systems sector. The presentations and the workshops feature industry experts who will be sharing their knowledge and experience, as well as introducing engineers to the very latest ‘thinking’ in embedded technology. This is a great opportunity for UK engineers to explore what’s new in their field.
Over the past 10 years, the Embedded Masterclass has established itself as an important UK event for engineers looking to explore the most recent tools and technologies for the development of embedded systems. Over the years it has grown from a small seminar into a much larger event that now includes a tabletop exhibition, an agenda of technical presentations and the collection of high quality workshops. It attracts electronics engineers, embedded computing engineers, designers and project managers, giving them the chance to meet with engineers from many of the world’s leading vendors of development tools and realtime and embedded technologies.
The Embedded Masterclass is recognised for the quality of its presentations, which are technical in content and presented by experienced and knowledgeable engineers. The technology presentations and the exhibition are free to engineers and managers in the technology sector. The half-day technical workshops are £99.00+vat.
Any vendor wishing to take part in the 2011 event should contact Pauline West, sales manager, at: [email protected] or call +44 (0)1582 740039.
Engineers wishing to register for the event should visit www.embedded-masterclass.com to register on-line. Early booking is recommended as workshops and presentation slots have been over-subscribed in recent years.
