A tale of two strategies

At first glance, the similarities between Mercury Computer Systems and VITA might be hard see. You might be tempted to scratch your head and wonder how an embedded vendor could be compared to a trade association. Or, you could point out that Mercury builds products compliant with VITA standards, so the similarity ends there. And for the cynics among you (of which I’m typically one), you might just ask, “Who the heck cares?” However, a look at each organization’s strategy provides a glimpse of the future in the VME market.
