FREMONT, California — June 7, 2007 — Themis® Computer today announced its new TPA-XMC™ PrXMC/PrPMC Module, which is based on P.A. Semi’s PA6T-1682M PWRficient™ Power Architecture-based processor. The Themis TPA-XMC provides powerful dual 64-bit processing, flexible high-speed I/O and low power consumption in a small form factor.

The P.A. Semi PWRficient 64-bit multicore processor redefines power, cost, and throughput efficiency in high-performance processing. The unique system-on-chip architecture and design, underpinned by more than 50 patents both filed and pending, delivers high performance at very low power consumption. The TPA-XMC features PA6T-1682M technology and delivers higher integer and floating-point performance than existing PowerPC-based PMC modules. The Themis TPA-XMC will deliver 64-bit performance while consuming as little as 15 watts (30 percent less power than existing PowerPC-based PMC modules). Themis’ energy- efficient TPA-XMC is an exciting option for power-constrained applications. With its reduced thermal footprint, Themis’ TPA-XMC is a practical upgrade for buyers that rate power consumption as a critical consideration.

Themis’ TPA-XMC is designed for a wide range of networking, wireless infrastructure, storage, and military/aerospace systems that run their applications on PowerPC® platforms. The TPA-XMC provides a wide range of I/O options, including Gigabit, 10 Gigabit Ethernet and PCI Express. Eighteen user-configurable serdes lanes enable the TPA-XMC to serve a wide range of high-speed requirements.

“We design and build innovative embedded computing solutions that provide high quality, reliability and the highest performance per watt, using the best-of-class technologies,” said William Kehret, president of Themis Computer. “These new embedded computing boards allow our customers to provide state-of-the-art PowerPC solutions for their mission-critical applications,” Mr. Kehret added.

“The PMC-XMC form factor enables P.A. Semi to get its PWRficient processor into exciting existing and future applications,” said Dan Dobberpuhl, president and C.E.O. of P.A. Semi. “We’re providing enabling technology for Themis’ mission to provide the best space, weight and power solutions for demanding embedded computing applications,” he added.
