More than 200 attendees, representing over 70 companies in the space industry, attended Actel’s 2009 Space Forums in the Netherlands and Russia last week. These private, invitation-only interactive sessions provide design engineers with information on how to optimize space-flight applications using Actel’s highly reliable, radiation-tolerant field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).
Held annually in North America, Europe and Asia, Actel and its partners provide a hands-on learning session focused on design techniques for power consumption, timing performance and device resource optimization for space-flight applications, leveraging Actel’s radiation tolerant FPGAs, IP and development tools.
Specifically in space-flight applications, Actel’s RTAX line of system-critical FPGAs perform command and data handling, telemetry tracking and control, payload processing, payload control, and power distribution and control. More than 60 Actel FPGAs have landed on Mars, and can also be found in commercial and military telecommunications satellites, in spacecraft designed for scientific research and Earth observation, and on deep space and planetary exploration missions.
With over 20 years of commitment and innovation in the space and avionics industry, Actel continues to be the leader in radiation-tolerant FPGAs.
