(ATS), a leading thermal management and packaging solutions provider, today announced the schedule for its 2007 Thermal Management Tutorial Series: eight courses developed to increase an engineer’s awareness of thermal science and design issues. The tutorials will provide a working knowledge of cooling solutions available today as well as, those in development. Tutorial topics will include Thermal Design, Fan Characterization, Liquid Cooling, and High-Capacity Cooling.
Kaveh Azar, PhD, president and CEO of Advanced Thermal Solutions, led the development of these new thermal management tutorials. “Design engineers are dealing with more heat problems than ever before,” says Dr. Azar. “These ATS tutorials will enable engineers to recognize, understand, and characterize heat problems, and give them the knowledge of how to best to manage them within the cost and time limits they are always facing.”

All tutorials will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. EST, at the ATS corporate headquarters in Norwood, MA. The tuition price for the complete eight-tutorial series is $1195, a savings of over 23% if registered by January 24, 2007. Individual tutorials are $195. Each ATS Thermal Management Tutorial is presented by ATS’ President & CEO Kaveh Azar Ph.D., and Bahman Tavassoli Ph.D., the company’s chief technologist. Both Azar and Tavassoli are internationally recognized experts in the thermal management of electronics.
