Hybricon Corporation, a provider of integrated system solutions, electronic enclosures, and backplanes, and VMETRO Inc., a provider of signal and data processing boards and subsystems, announced a strategic technology partnership agreement to leverage each organization’s engineering and technology strengths. Hybricon’s expertise in designing enclosure systems combined with VMETRO’s expertise in high-end embedded computer systems will provide robust VXS system solutions for defense-related embedded signal processing applications. This agreement illustrates VMETRO and Hybricon Corporation’s continued commitment to technology innovation as displayed earlier this year at Bus & Boards Conference where Hybricon Corporation and VMETRO demonstrated an operational liquid cooled ATR VXS (VITA-41) system.

“Hybricon Corporation is very pleased to partner with a leader in the high-performance signal processing solutions industry. VMETRO’s real-time data recorders, single board computers and bus analyzer products are truly outstanding technologies,” said Jim Doyle, Hybricon’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “By combining both companies’ core strengths, we will be able to support a broader market that will certainly be beneficial to both our companies and more importantly our customers. We look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with VMETRO.”

”VMETRO’s VXS signal processing boards can require cooling of up to 100W per slot in air and conduction cooled systems. Working with Hybricon Corporation for commercial as well as rugged enclosures and backplanes has enabled VMETRO to meet our end-user specifications,” says Dave Barker, Vice President of Business Development for Processing Solutions at VMETRO Inc.
