“This announcement, in addition to last week’s announcement of the acquisition of MIL/COTS DIGEST, is part of OSP’s accelerating expansion into the embedded marketplace and puts OSP as the leading print and online publisher in the Embedded, COTS and DSP/FPGA arena,” said Patrick Hopper, vice president of marketing and sales, OpenSystems Publishing. “The immediate impact of these announcements translates into a 25 percent increase in print and online circulation.”

It increases circulation in Embedded Computing Design, Military Embedded Systems, VME and Critical Systems, and the online book DSP-FPGA.com (and its supplement Programmable Logic and Reconfigurable Computing). OSP’s recent acquistions also add growth to the company’s booming online portfolio of websites and directories, E-letters, E-casts (webcasts), and email product announcements.

“The names provided by the GSPx Conference bring dramatic technology synergy to our magazines Embedded Computing Design, Military Embedded Systems, and DSP-FPGA.com,” said Chris Ciufo, OSP’s group editorial director, Military & Aerospace Group. “The GSPx Conference was about more than DSP. It included all manner of multimedia, signal processing, and even multicore processors. All of these technologies form the critical underpinnings of our coverage in these magazines, and the expanded circulation now possible with the GSPx database allows us to meet the needs of a much larger embedded audience.”

The acquisition of approximately 20,000 names of key decision makers, engineers, developers, and technical managers, extends OSP’s editorial reach. Synergy exists between the company’s editorial direction and GSPx’s focus on all elements of a complete signal-processing solution, including embedded hardware, embedded software, and EDA/tools.
