GE Fanuc Embedded Systems Purchases Products and Technology from DNA Computing Solutions, Inc.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. September 8, 2005 — GE Fanuc Embedded Systems, Inc., a unit of GE Industrial, announced that it has purchased the multiprocessor PowerPC product line from DNA Computing Solutions, Inc. This includes the VS/VE750, VQG4, and NEXUS™ I VME boards, WingSpan™ software suite of optimized signal, image and vector processing software libraries as well as VxWorks and Linux board support software. This important and well-established technology will continue to be supported and enhanced by GE Fanuc Embedded Systems’ engineering, technical support, marketing and sales.

“GE Fanuc Embedded Systems is pleased to add a multiprocessor PowerPC product offering to our already extensive portfolio of embedded computing solutions,” said Jeff Garwood, President and CEO of GE Fanuc. “This is a key extension of our hardware and software product line and brings with it extensive multiprocessor systems expertise to the GE Fanuc Embedded Systems team. As we increase our commitment to the defense electronics market, we will provide a complete line of hardware and software solutions ranging from benign through rugged environments, including air and conduction cooled applications. Additions to the multiprocessor product portfolio in 2006 will support expanded environmental requirements with the latest PowerPC, switched-fabric and communications technology. With the expanded offerings, customers will be able to obtain a broader set of capabilities from one source.”
